Jacob's Orientation-Meet the Teacher Day

Jacob's orientation was today. It was bitter-sweet. Where did the Summer go? The school was the same as it was 3 months ago. It seemed like I just walked out yesterday. Jacob saw some of his friends. Here he is with his friend Colby.

He LOVED his new teacher. Her name is Mrs. Rich. She was very sweet and loving.

Jacob has his very own desk to put his supplies in. I sat there and made everything perfect, of course. I had his entire desk organized while the rest of the parents were in and out. I believe I may have OCD.

Jacob's favorite friend, Ali, was there welcoming the students as they arrived along with the rest of the Bentonville Tiger Cheer team. He was real happy to see her there.

We really missed Stripes over the Summer. Jacob was a little embarrassed this year to get a picture with him. John was thrilled.

I made a special present for Jacob's teacher. It was full of extra supplies. She was very appreciative. Jason said I was "kissing up"....he could barely keep up with me as I approached the room. It's funny to see the Mom's run to that "homeroom mom-sign up sheet"...you have to be the first one to sign it- I wore high heels today, dang it, so I was number 3 on this list.....and NO- I did not do this for brownie points. I know how they need supplies all year long!

Jacob has a new principal this year. She seemed real nice. She was excited to meet Jacob. She told him he had a real nice teacher! He was a little nervous....something about a "principal" can do that to a child. ...and that was about it...all went well. I cried on the way home. I am not sure why. Jason thinks I am going nuts....just three more years and John will be in the same school with his brother. No one better mess with his big brother....he is pretty mischievous these days!
